Goat Walkers Coaching Program
For Women Leaders Navigating Between Worlds

GOAT WALKERS: Living and Leading Between Worlds

I am a tried-and-true Capricorn, born during a snow storm and adept at finding my footing amid uncertain terrain and changing conditions. I am loyal and hard working, both common traits of the goat sign. But more profoundly, I identify strongly with the duality of the goat mermaid archetype in her ability to navigate both the emotional and materials realms. Literally meaning “horned goat” in Latin, the Capricorn image of the water dwelling mountain goat, represents a highly adaptive and evolved being who can navigate seemingly opposite worlds, while maintaining her integrity and core sense of self.

Are You a Goat Walker? (not just Capricorns!)

You are passionate but tempered, spiritual yet practical, bold and decisive yet also collaborative and humble. You walk on the edges of seemingly opposite ways of being in the world. Because of this breadth of perspective, you live and lead from a place of deep understanding and empathy toward others.

Amid today’s deep polarization and division, your skilled goat walking capacity is what the world needs. Yet, in your own personal and professional life, you have felt isolated, targeted, and discredited, because your perspective threatens a dominant narrative. You promote spaciousness and mutuality, while others shrink into defined roles or demand harmful hierarchies.

  • You are EMPATHETIC and purpose-driven, with deep SENSITIVITY toward others.
  • You have felt ISOLATED, judged, or misunderstood in your family of origin or culturally-defined groups.
  • You foster COMPASSIONATE one-on-one relationships with others, yet your UNIQUE OUTLOOK is often at odds within the communities or organizations where you work and interact.
  • You are a TEMPERED RADICAL, meaning you are passionate about social change through ethically-grounded coalition building and softening of hearts.
  • You take on the role of peacemaker or BRIDGE-BUILDER, seeking common ground amid POLARIZING positions.
  • You are seen by many as a TRUSTED and reliable leader, friend, and confidante, yet are also targeted and scapegoated by others who feel THREATENED by your self-actualization and individualism.
  • You have HELD SPACE for others for so long and have finally REACHED YOUR EDGE.

Where do you go from here?  How do you heal and reconstitute a sense of self? How do you make intentional choices that reflect your core values without compromising your TRUE identity?
